Monday Movie Meme – Pucker Up

Here's hoping you’ve applied your ChapStick and popped a mint, because the theme for this week’s Monday Movie Meme is all about lip-locking scenes:

Best Kiss

Share on your blog or in the comments section, movies featuring the best on-screen kiss you’ve ever seen.

Today’s post is going to be short and sweet since my selection for this week’s Best Kiss theme includes just one epic lip-lock that cannot be beat. I mean sure, I could name some faves such as The Notebook or that scene outside of the jazz spot in Love Jones. Even those tender exchanges between Aragorn and Arwen in The Lord of the Rings trilogy are worth a mention. Still, nothing…noootthing is better than this…

Yep, I have to give it to Tobey McGuire and Kirsten Dunst (who I had mixed up with Claire Danes as first, while writing this post. How did that happen?!) for their adrenaline pumping, wet and steamy Spider-Man sugar. Now how are you going to top that!

Who had the best kiss YOU’VE ever seen in a movie?

The one you mention in The Notebook is rather epic. But there's one between Micheal Ealy and Hallee Berry in Their Eyes Were Watching God that was just, wow :-)

Just stopped by to meet or say hello to all of the co-hosts for this year's A to Z blogging challenge. I have to agree with the Notebook kiss, but I have another favorite. It's kind of raunchy, but the first kiss between Mickey Rourke & Kim Bassinger in 9 and 1/2 Weeks (oh so very long ago), was quite a kiss. Thank you for co-hosting the blogging challenge.

Angela,
What an unexpected selection you picked for this week's meme! I say unexpected because not only did I forget that movie came out but I still have yet to watch it. For some reason the promotional materials for Their Eyes Were Watching God had me thinking it was like cheesy Lifetime flicks for Halle Berry or something but hot diggity dog...is Micheal Ealy good looking or what?!! I would give the film a looksee just to get a glimpse of him, Lol.

Melissa,
Thank you for coming by to read my blog! As a co-host of the A-to-Z Challenge, I appreciate the fact that you took a moment to show some love to all of the bloggers who are organizing this event and making it possible for participants to enjoy their April blogging experience. The raunchy nature of 9 and 1/2 weeks is perhaps one of the reasons why I still haven't watched it yet....maybe I'm too scared. Ha!

It is a shame the film was given such a raw deal by American audiences when it came out; probably one of the most underrated, yet, classic romantic dramas in history. Of course, my comment in based on what I've read over the years about the movie. One of these days I'm going to muster up the balls to check it out. Thanks again for visiting!

This is a great topic, particularly since I watch movies all of the time. Unfortunately, as much as movies are my second best friends AFTER books, for the life of me, I can't remember even one kiss. (lol) That's crazy, I know, but absolutely nothing comes to mind. I must agree, however, that the Spiderman kiss was a good one. Kudos. and Big hugs... Really enjoy your Blog.
