Flashback Friday #8 - Spam and Fifty Shades of Me
Consider today’s post a companion to the 50 things about me that are live on the A-to-Z Blog! In my co-host introduction for the 2015 challenge, I also answer five questions from participants including Naila Moon who asked “What do you do with Spam?” It’s hard to tell if she was referring to spammy blog comments, the food, email or some other type such as junk mail. Still, her question reminded me of the time not too long ago when I came across this message from “Dixie” that gave me a good laugh:
Um....nope, I have my own but thanks anyway!
Did you read my Meet your Co-Hosts! Feature at the A-to-Z Blog today? Hop on over there and let me know if we have anything in common!

ROFL I guess spammers should get some kind of demographic filters on their mailing lists. I guess they figure that title will catch about 50% of the population, so why not?
Maurice,
You know you're right on the money, lol. Demographic targeting is what any smart marketer worth his (or her) salt would do with their lists. Since those spammers have nothing to lose and everything to gain by casting a wide net, crossing their fingers and hoping to get that 50/50 chance they'll be some takers on their title bait, I understand how it popped up among all the other messages.
Thank you for your contribution to keeping AtoZ going. This is year 4 for me. Great fun!
I face huge problem on spam on my site where comments would market bags, shoes and a host of retail products. It took a lot of tracking to know it was one post a sticky post that was attracting spam...it was a nightmare :(

I never know what to do with Spam email. Delete it? Unsubscribe? Shoot it? It's all a matter of mood...
I'm tired of all these spammy letters, comments and whatnot! It's very annoying! Not the advertisement itself but the stupid messages that come with it! They have to be at least educative or creative. Something like that:

That's the spam comment worth some attention!
