The Silver Screen’s Variable Roads to Victory #atozchallenge
If you ever feel like you’ve been fighting a long, hard battle against people or circumstances that just won’t let up, remember that all is not lost. It does not matter if you’ve been beat up, stabbed, shot at, and betrayed, setup, demoted to a less-than-desirable position at work, heartbroken or whatever the situation is.
Victory can still be yours because even when you’ve run out of gas, time, friends, bullets, hiding spaces or money – technology is on your side. Here are three lessons, as seen in the movies; that indicate how technology is the road to Victory!
- Fax machines are sometimes more reliable than ground delivery or in-person exchanges involving important documents and classified information – especially when you’re short on time and being chased by people who are trying to kill you, as seen in “The Bourne Ultimatum”
- Fire optics lenses can be your trump card when getting access to your money and positive behavior reports – especially during moments when your douchebag guardian manipulates his power in exchange for sexual favors and then gets out of control, as seen in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”
- Tape recorders work wonders in many tense situations including battles with corrupt police as well as when foreigners kidnap your daughter, as seen in “16 Blocks” and “Taken”
P.S.
You do know I’m kidding, right?
Heck, I’m still looking for the road to victory. Have YOU found one?
If so, what is it? If not, then who do YOU think is leading the way to find that road – and is it someone that you think is worth following?
Ok, enough with the riddles…
When was the last time that technology got YOU out of a bad situation – or -- into a good situation, making you Victorious?

I love it when movies play with our insane reliance on technology. Like "Oh, you think you're so tough? Well try this!" And then there's a black out and the characters are helpless. This is why I was such a gue fan of survivorman. Well, that and the fact that Les Stroud is just awesome.
