The Room Sells Out Despite being Worst Movie Ever

So, I just watched this new story about a movie that's "so bad, it's good" according to ABC news. While The Room has been called the worst movie ever made, it has millions of fans around the country who are even willing to watch this "worst movie" multiple times. Screenings for The Room are jam packed with movie fans arriving early to get in but I'm not sure that this is the type of attention that independent film producers want to aspire. Still, I hope that the main actor who also wrote and produced The Room was able to get back that $6 million (yes, you read that right!) budget he raised for this film.

One audience member who waited in line for The Room said he didn't know what this movie was about but he just knew he had to see it before he died. That is one of the main aspects of this odd news story that stood out and maybe there actually IS an audience for even the "worst" films that share a category with The Room . Just when I thought some of my movies were sketchy....something like this happens.

What is the worst movie you've seen so far this year?
Have YOU seen The Room?

Oh. My. Gawd. I *must* see this! It's looks so awesomely bad.

Speaking of bad films, the wife and I watched Sylvester Stallone's movie Driven last night. Sweet merciful God, I loved it. Also coming out on Blu-ray August 4th is Big Trouble In Little China, perhaps the bestest worstest film ever made. You know I'll be lining up for that one!

I may rent Big Trouble in Little China just to find out what Kurt Russel and Kim Cattrall were up to back then.

I think you'd dig it.

The wife and I have been looking around for a theater screening The Room. Closest we could find was Los Angeles. I think we'll try to swing this!
