24 Season 7 Postponed by Fox...the WGA has done it!

The anticipation of this upcoming season of 24 had me very excited until recently. Fox has changed it's lineup due to the current strike by the Hollywood writers. The 7th season of 24 has been affected.

24 Season 7 has been officially postponed as noted in a press release sent out by Fox earlier this week. When the WGA went on strike, I understood their concerns and demands, but now it has gone too far. This has affected one of the best shows on television - 24 Season 7 and I am not too happy about it at all. What are TV fans supposed to watch? Dancing with the Stars? Get real. It looks like I will be making use of some DVDs in my collection during the New TV season after New Year's.

Apparently, the network does not have enough episodes completed for the entire season, which is "Day 7" and Fox officials want to present 24 Season 7 without interruptions. Although I do not like the fact that this TV show is being postponed, I do understand their concerns about playing one portion on January 13, 2008 (The Day that 24 Season 7 was Originally scheduled to premiere) and then the rest whenever they had a chance to finish the episodes. Not many TV professionals and fans alike would be satisfied with a half-ass TV show. I blame the writers in the WGA for this. It is all their fault. Hopefully, this strike will end soon and they can get all (or most at least) of what they are demanding from those who pay their salaries and royalties.

Now that I think about it, maybe this isn't the WGA's fault entirely. Maybe the blame should be placed on the TV executives who control the purse strings. If this is an accurate point of fault, there is a simple solution....pay the writers! Just pay them. It is a simple as that. So what if they want extra for online downloads, etc. because the current state of the TV industry proves that you cannot get much done without them. Therefore, stop taking all of the ancillary cash for yourselves and give the writers a piece of that action.

The drama, Prison Break will replace 24 on Mondays in the meantime.
I (and millions of other people around the nation) just want to watch season 7 of 24. That is not too much to ask.

P.S. I also heard that ABC's Ugly Betty only had one week's worth of episodes left before their show is put to a halt because of the writer's strike. Isn't it enough that the late night TV shows are airing reruns now? This strike is causing a mess.

What do you think about the WGA strike? Is it affecting any of your favorite TV shows? Leave your comments on this matter below in the comments section.

I agree 100 percent. Those jerks should pay them the damn money so we can watch 24. I don't care about all the other shows but as long as they give us 24. I was counting down the days until it started, than they postponed it and I was like NOOOOOOOOOOO! I don’t watch anything else on TV anyway. Give us 24!

Dido!! Very very dissapointed that Season 7 of 24 will not air!! 24 has been my most favorite show since the beginning and am very sad that I won't get to see Keifer at his best. Pay the writers and get those final episodes done up and air the show....Prison Break is AWESOME right now and 24 will suffer because of it not airing.

I am totally dissapointed that 24, especially Keifer...will not be airing anytime soon. 24 has been my most favorite show and am a devoted fan. I, myself was really looking forward to Season 7. Please, please, please...pay the writters what they want, get more episodes and air 24 ASAP....because Prison Break right now is AWESOME.

They should def bring it back. This strike sucks! Kiefer should just Ad- lib the rest of the season. It would still be good because he is such a bad ass.
