Vincent D'Onofrio plays Gangster in Staten Island Movie

This month’s King Dong, Vincent D'Onofrio is starring in the upcoming film Staten Island with Ethan Hawke. The description for this movie seems a bit vague, as it is basically about the lives of three New York residents that intercept somehow. Of course, the characters played by Vincent D'Onofrio and Ethank Hwke are Staten Island residents.


These characters are working everyday jobs and trying to get along in life. Vincent D'Onofrio plays Parmie, a small time mob boss. It appears that there are many movies coming out of New York within the next few years. It wasn’t too long ago that I reported on Brooklyn’s Finest with Richard Gere and some other Hollywood heavyweights.

Ethan Hawke described Staten Island as one of those weird and insane movies that excites him. The Staten Island movie is supposed to be released in November.

Vincent D'Onofrio Crowned King Dong of September '08

Vincent D'Onofrio is best known currently for his role as Detective Robert Goren on the NBC TV show Law & Order: Criminal Intent, also what us supporting fans like to call..."Law & Order:CI". His celebratory poem will be introduced next week, as he is the new King Dong of September 2008 here on the Madlab Post. It seems that Vincent D'Onofrio has been working on other projects in addition to the Law & Order: Criminal Intent gig. Here are a few tidbits on his latest projects:

The Narrows

Vincent D'Onofrio has a starring role in what is being called a "coming-of-age story combines suspense, murder and loyalty". Considering this bit from the synopsis, The Narrows may be right up his alley when it comes to the storyline and vibe of this movie. Suspense: He's used to it while trying to solve cases on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Murder: Yeah, Vincent D'Onofrio has been around his fair share of this particular crime on his popular TV show, and Loyalty: That's what he and his female partner are all about. She may actually be the only one who understands AND can put up with the sometimes outrageous antics of Detective Robert Goren.

Anyway, The Narrows appears to be scheduled for release later this year, but may not be widely available. Therefore, it may only be playing in arthouse theaters or in main movie theaters for a limited time. The Narrows will also be playing at the Toronto Film Festival this year on Monday, September 8th which is next week. Here is a briefing on the synopsis for this movie from the Toronto Film Festival's film lineup - Mike Manadoro (Kevin Zegers) has come to a crossroads in his life. Only twenty years old, he is torn between two paths, two women and two worlds. The choices he makes in a few short weeks will dictate his future. The Narrows also stars Sophia Bush, who is known for her role of Brooke on the TV show One Tree Hill. This movie was filmed in New York.

He married a Spice Girl and moved to the USA.
David Beckham is one hot guy, chosen as King today.
Known mostly for playing professional soccer and
hanging out with A-list Hollywood stars….
this athlete is fit, handsome and will go very far.

His debut acting career has begun
with a movie to be released in 2008.
The title may not be easy to pronounce.
Still, that is ok.
So long as “Becks” is front and center on screen,
the movie theater admission price will be worth it
on that day.
